You guys mostly are dealing with the visual vs audio delay, but I also want to point out a similar issue which is listening to the PC Sound Card and Bluetooth Audio audio device at the same time. Not expecting help I guess I'm just ranting. One is for Stereo and the other is for Handsfree? When I connect to Windows I'm offered 2 options. From what I can tell after reading that MSDN post the issue is that for compatibility reasons the device creators go with an older more compatible API call to the bluetooth I've clicked all of the support links above that have been sent and none of them help. These issues do not show up for me on any of the other major products. If it doesn't crash the audio system then there is so much lag doing anything other than listening to a book or music is pointless. Why? Why can I go seamlessly from device to device with these modern headsets until I get to windows where it just doesn't' work. I know I can adjust audio sync manually in programs like kodi or vlc, but I'm not looking for a "band-aid" fix. If it helps, I've tried using powerbeats Bluetooth headphones (firmware up to date), some generic Bluetooth headphones, Amazon Echo, and Amazon Tap.Įach seem to have the same delay.

Also, when I use my android tablet or phone, there is no noticeable delay with any of these devices. However, there's always a lag (had the same issue on windowsĨ).
I even cameĪcross an open source Bluetooth fix, which made it slightly closer, and have gone through tons of forums saying to turn off power management for the Bluetooth and disabling audio enhancements. This seems to be the case for all devices on all systems. Its generally a lag of about somewhere between 250-500ms as a rough estimate based on adjustments through VLC and Kodi.
Watching videos or playing a game it becomes extremely noticeable. For music it's not big deal because you can't really realize the delay.

I know I can't be the only one who experiences this because I have tried several different bluetooth headsets and speakers on multiple PC's, laptops, and even a surface pro 4.
